Why Choose Us?

What I believe is important in an advisor:

- Does the advisor invest with an eye toward risk?  Does the advisor pose the question: “How much might I lose on this?"  Loss avoidance is our number one concern.  We hope to make money; we feel the way to build wealth long term is not to lose it.  I cannot think of a more important rule to follow in investing.  Warren Buffett’s two famous rules are: Rule No.1: Never lose money.  Rule No. 2: Never forget Rule No. 1.

-Does the advisor invest to manage taxes?  Most Americans know little about the U.S. tax code.  However, it is mandatory that an advisor not only know the tax code; he must invest accordingly as to potentially increase returns for the client long term.  Our goal is to keep turnover low so that we do not generate unwanted tax consequences (a capital gains bill YOU pay), when we could have let the security compound over many years.

-Does the advisor really make an effort to control fees?  We are cost conscious.

-Does the advisor have a strategy that he is using to grow your wealth?  There should be a disciplined plan, and it must be executed.    For us, this plan is called value investing.
